Let us help you take care of your furry friends!
Deanna and the staff are avid dog lovers who have been working with dogs for over 10 years. What started out as a hobby has become our first love and passion. We are owned by Dachshunds, “All American” dogs, and hefty, pushy rescue kitties. We participate in rescue transport, and we are foster moms. We volunteer with rescues in order to correct problematic behaviors and teach basic obedience that will help the dogs find their forever family.
We have experience in fostering disabled Dachshunds. Our girl Angel was paralyzed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (I.V.D.D) at age 4, but was brought back to walking with laser treatments and chiropractic care. Angel went on to be a spokespuppy at Pet Expos and conventions, teaching people that I.V.D.D isn’t a death sentence. For more on I.V.D.D., please go to DodgersList.
When you live a busy life, it is hard to consistently provide the attention and care that your pets can demand. With years of satisfied owners and loved pets, you can rely on us to care for your pets when you're away.
We are always prepared for any pet's needs and ensure that your pet will receive the best care and love. Their happiness and care is our priority and we strive to provide a service we would want our own pets to receive.
Deanna
Deanna has been volunteering at rescue shelters, has been a foster parent, a transporter for rescues, and training shelter dogs to be the best they can be, to get a furever home. In 2016, She decided to open her own business, and help families to understand and train their dogs, so they would not be a casualty of a shelter. She earned her Certification from Animal Behavioral Collage, became an American Kennel Club Evaluator for Canine good citizen, Star Puppy and Ubran good citizen. She is part of APDT Association of Professional Dog Trainers. She treats all her students like family. She is owned by 3 “All American” (mutts) and a pushy rescue kitty.
Brittany
Brittany is our assistant trainer and a lifetime animal lover. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Purdue University. Her day job software engineering but all of her free time is dedicated to loving and training dogs!
Brittany has been working with Dee for over 3 years to learn the ins and outs of training dogs with love and positive reinforcement. She practices this training not only with her own 2 Siberian Huskies but also with the dogs that she walks at Hinsdale Humane Society (where she is a regular volunteer). Outside of training dogs, Brittany also has experience with feral cat TNR (trap, neuter/spay, release).
Brittany's 2 Siberian Huskies have both gone through Devious to Delightful Dog training. Their specialties are "wait" at the door and "sit and stay". They love getting pets from strangers and live with 3 cats in harmony!
We will help you and your dog understand the meaning of their crates. We will show you how it is a safe place for them to go to when they want some alone time. This is very useful for dogs that have separation anxiety and/or lack of confidence.
We will be explaining and demonstrating hand movements to show how to make a the dogs sit, touch, look, down and stay.
We will help you understand a dogs body language by their posture, tail, ears, eyes and mouth.
We will be helping you teach your dog how to not walk ahead or tug on least while going on walks.
We will be helping you teach your dog how to settle down and take a nap in the presences of a human.
We will be helping you teach your dog to understand that the owner is always in control not them.
